Organizers of TRA Marketplace are watching the weather reports for storms in the Gulf of Mexico carefully. As of right now, all reports show that though Houston may receive some rain, the vast majority of the storm's impact will be felt to the east by our neighbors in Louisiana.
Luckily, TRA Marketplace and its host hotel, the Marriott Marquis, are connected by an indoor skybridge and all parking is covered in the area. Though we may see rain, we do not anticipate this having a significant impact on the events this weekend.
As of now, TRA Marketplace and all its ancillary events are proceeding as normal and we are encouraging everyone to come out and enjoy a great show and event!
All systems are go, and we will continue to monitor and provide updates as we receive them. Our best source of information is found on SpaceCityWeather.com.

From the SpaceCityWeather team this morning, "If you’re living in Houston, please continue to pay attention to forecasts for the next couple of days, as tropical weather invariably offers up surprises. However, it’s probably safe to go about your business as usual this weekend. If this forecast holds, most of Texas will not see significant effects from the tropical system. This is because most of the action—heavy rainfall, storm surge, winds—will likely occur on the right side of the storm. The latest forecasts suggest that most of Houston will probably see 0 to 1 inch of rain, with higher potential amounts in Galveston and along the coast. "
We know weather events along the Gulf coast can change rapidly, we are taking this seriously and will assess the data as it becomes available. For our friends in Louisiana, stay safe out there.

Models continue to show the weather system pushing east towards Louisiana. There is a wide range of possible outcomes, but most reports we are following for Houston indicate moderate rain on Saturday with improvement on Sunday.
