TRA Marketplace announced as one of nation's top 25 fastest-growing shows
The Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) Marketplace was recently announced one of the nation's top 25 fastest-growing shows in attendance by the Trade Show News Network (TSNN), a trade show industry authority. Total TRA Marketplace attendance increased 13% from 2013 to 2015. TSNN selected a total of 50 of the fastest-growing association and for-profit shows in the country for attendance and net square footage from 2013 to 2015. The shows will be honored at an awards celebration October 28-30 in Atlantic City, N.J. The winning shows span a diverse range of industries, including consumer electronics, solar power, jewelry and even cattle.
TRA Marketplace, now in its 79th year, is the second largest foodservice show in the country. The 2016 show kicks off Sunday and Monday, June 26-27 from 10:30am to 5:00pm at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, 1001 Avenida de las Americas.
Richie Jackson, CEO of Texas Restaurant Association credits the distinctive and dynamic Texas region for the growth, and the show's continuing focus on technology. Texas is a huge and powerful market. Many consumer and industry trends have grassroots origins in Texas, which speaks to its authenticity, he says. We've also made a concerted effort to focus on cutting edge technology, which is ever-changing and absolutely key in this digital age. We're honored to be included.
For decades, the show has dazzled visitors with stunning and interactive displays, state-of-the-science products and equipment, and the latest news, trends and advice from dynamic industry leaders. Hundreds of exhibitors attend, showcasing everything from artisan food products and craft beverages to linens, mobile technology, security, kitchen equipment, supplies and even food truck displays and the experts who design them.
Thousands of restaurateurs, chefs, and industry executives are expected to attend over the two-day period. Attendees and exhibitors can navigate the show with ease, stay on top of seminar schedules and quickly find vendors and services with the new TRA Marketplace app, free of charge and available for download on iTunes (Apple) or Google Play (Android). Tickets are available online through June 21st and are $45 per person for TRA Members and $55 for non-members. After June 21st, all tickets are $65 general admission at the door.
